The Best Equestrian Neighborhoods in Palm Beach County

Best Equestrian Neighborhoods Palm Beach County FL

Despite Wellington and the surrounding parts of Palm Beach County being the equestrian capital of Florida, horse-friendly housing options are becoming harder to find as both population and large-scale development continue to rise throughout much of South Florida. Whether its prime equestrian land being transformed into strip malls or new housing developments limiting space or isolating existing equestrian properties, horse owners looking for a new place to call home in Palm Beach County have limited options. Luckily, Palm Beach County does still feature a number of private equestrian communities, however, which remain ideal for serious horse owners looking to lay down some roots in one of the best places to call home in the Sunshine State.

Saddle Club of Wellington - Wellington, FL

In many ways, The Saddle Club of Wellington is the ultimate equestrian community in Palm Beach County thanks to most homes having plenty of acreage, as well as any number of horse-friendly features like storage buildings, barns, jumping fields, and riding arenas. And thanks to being situated out in Wellington’s tranquil countryside, you’ll also be surrounded by other large horse farms and equestrian properties, providing quite the atmosphere for even the most serious riders and equestrian enthusiasts.

Palm Beach Point - Wellington, FL

Palm Beach Point is very similar to Saddle Club in that homes throughout the community were specifically built and designed with equestrian needs in mind. Each home is equipped with plenty of acreage and all the horse facilities you’ll need, regardless of whether you’re a professional equestrian or horseback riding is merely a hobby. We’re talking barns with up to 12 or more stalls, feed and track rooms, covered arenas, grass fields, wash barns, and more. Although extremely limited in terms of availability, Palm Beach Point might also be a great community to consider if you’re searching for land that allows you to build you dream equestrian home from the ground up as well.

Caloosa - Palm Beach Gardens, FL

Caloosa is probably the most sought-after equestrian community in Palm Beach Gardens, a fast-growing city roughly 20 minutes north of West Palm Beach. It’s here you’ll have access to over 30 miles of interior bridle paths, as well as a sprawling 32-acre horse park that includes an arena, barns, and access to trails. Further, because the Caloosa community consists of 350 five-acre parcels, it’s an equestrian community that almost always has a few options on the market if you’re a serious buyer looking to make a move fast.

White Fences - Loxahatchee, FL

Wellington and Palm Beach Gardens seem to get the most attention among equestrian home buyers searching Palm Beach County but White Fences in nearby Loxahatchee is also worth strong consideration. Homesites here typically have between 5 and 20 acres, and you’ll also have easy access to some of the best boarding options in the area as well, including Fair Sky Farm and Happy Day Farm just to name a couple. Like other communities mentioned here, you’ll find a great mix of homes with stables, paddocks, and other equestrian features, and home owners in White Fences are only required to pay a minimal community HOA for basic rules and regulations, helping make it ideal home buyers wanting to limit expensive, on-going fees.

Grand Prix Village South - Wellington, FL

The expansive equestrian estates at Grand Prix Village have large footprints and plenty of private property, helping make it one of Palm Beach County’s most prestigious equestrian communities. Each home in the community sits on 3 to 5 acres with most also including grazing paddocks, riding arenas, multi-stall barns, and even a small pond or canal. What also makes Grand Prix Village both unique and desirable is that you’ll be just a short distance from the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, the Wellington Equestrian Center, and also the Palm Beach Polo Club—a convenience well worth the premium you’ll have to pay to own a home in this wonderful horse-friendly setting.
